Dr Khalesi began practising at South Steyne Medical Centre nearly a year ago, and now that his practice is established, Dr Khalesi is broadening his range of services, with a particular focus on skin cancer medicine and advanced skin procedures.
Dr Khalesi has a PhD in Skin Cancer Medicine, has featured as an expert on the SBS News Podcast and 7NEWS TV, where he discusses ultraviolet radiation, sunscreen and skin cancer prevention. At SSMC, Dr Khalesi now provides advanced skin procedures, able to assist with skin cancer surgery, flap repairs, facial procedures, mole removal, cysts, lipomas and keloid scars.
Patients with skin concerns in sensitive or highly visible areas, such as the face, can see a GP with deep clinical expertise in skin cancer medicine and procedural skin care. Many patients understandably worry about scarring, cosmetic outcomes and whether a skin concern needs further assessment. Dr Khalesi’s advanced training allows him to provide careful assessment and, where appropriate, procedural management in a familiar general practice setting.
Alongside his procedural work, Dr Khalesi continues to enjoy the full breadth of general practice, including children’s health, chronic disease management, men’s and women’s health, and preventative care. His approach is built on trust and collaboration, with a focus on helping patients feel listened to, informed and cared for as individuals.
