My name is Dr. Mohammad Khalesi and I am delighted to have recently started consulting at South Steyne Medical Centre here in Manly.
Having worked in family medicine for over 17 years, I have seen firsthand how important it is for a community to have access to quality, ongoing healthcare. I am honoured to provide that service to the Northern Beaches.
I enjoy the full breadth of general practice, from children’s health to chronic disease management, to men’s and women’s health. I believe good medicine is built on trust and collaboration, where patients feel listened to and cared for as individuals.
I also have particular expertise in skin health. Since completing my PhD in skin cancer at Queensland University of Technology, I have dedicated much of my career to the early detection, prevention, and surgical management of skin cancers, moles, and cysts. Living in Australia, we all know how strong the sun can be, and regular skin checks remain one of the simplest and most effective ways to protect our long-term health.
Outside of medicine, I like to stay active and curious. I enjoy travelling, weight training, and bushwalking around our beautiful coastline. Cooking is another passion of mine – especially when I can share a meal with friends and family – and my little toy Pomeranian is never far from my side.
I look forward to meeting many of you, whether it’s for a routine check-up, a skin cancer screening, or simply to ask a question about your health. Together, we can ensure you and your family enjoy the best possible care right here in our local community.
