This September, Manly’s award-winning event organisers, co-founders of Second Sunday, Cam Coghlan and Brendan Maher, along with a star-studded, all-Aussie line-up of unbridled talent will celebrate Night at the Barracks’ 4th birthday. The epic month-long concert series that transforms North Head into an outdoor live music arena will also expand its offering in 2025, entertaining our compatriots north of state lines with Night at the Parkland coming to Brisbane.

“We are proud to be able to showcase to audiences in Sydney and Brisbane a quality all-Australian artist line-up that showcases the true depth of musical talent in this country,” says Brendan. “This not only includes our brilliant headliners but also a great roster of support artists that will grace our stages across the series.”

Discussing the new Night at the Parkland, Brisbane series, Cam adds, “We’re absolutely thrilled to build on the incredible success in Manly and bring the magic to Brisbane. Pairing a stunning, iconic venue with world-class artists and a premium experience – we can’t wait.”

The breathtaking concert series under the stars will feature performances from some of the country’s finest: ICEHOUSE, Amy Shark, James Johnston, Grinspoon’s 30th Birthday Bonanza, Cut Copy with guest KLP and Lime Cordiale for both North Head and Brisbane events. Missy Higgins, Kate Ceberano: Australian Made, Hoodoo Gurus: 40th anniversary of Mars Needs Guitars, Ian Moss and Mark Seymour, Furnace and The Fundamentals 15th Anniversary Celebration and Yesterday’s Gone: The Fleetwood Mac Legacy for North Head, whilst Xavier Rudd rounds out the programme for Brisbane.

With the historic Barracks Precinct forming an integral part of Australian history, Cam and Brendan are once again honoured to be able to share this event series with the music loving general public at such an iconic location. Together with the event’s major partners, they are more committed than ever to pursuing environmental sustainability, actively seeking and integrating progressive green initiatives, working towards redefining eco-consciousness within Australian events. From reusable aluminium cups and merchandise made from 100% recycled materials to waste management and powering the site from 100% renewable energy, minimising carbon footprint is at the core of all of the team’s planning and execution.

“We are excited to welcome visitors to experience the historic Barracks Precinct transformed into an open-air concert hall,” says Janet Carding, Executive Director of the Harbour Trust. Northern Beaches Mayor Sue Heins adds, “It is great to see Night at the Barracks back again at such an iconic location on the Northern Beaches. Council is proud to continue its support of this popular event which brings so many people to the area, introducing them to our stunning area while boosting the local economy and supporting local businesses. This year’s line-up is looking amazing. What an incredible opportunity for our community, family, friends and visitors to experience world-class music under the stars this September and October.”
