Award Winning Doodler gets set for Netherlands

UTS student and Manly local Tom Hadley (Instagram @tehillustrator) was recently crowned the winner of Red Bull Doodle Art Australia 2023. Tom’s top prize Aussie doodle won out over 1,000 entries from across the country. This emerging young talent is now collaborating with Burnt Toast, professional artist, and co-founder of Doodles, to prepare for the Red Bull Doodle Art World Final. Taking place in Amsterdam, May 25-27, the world final will be a ‘phygital’ experience involving both the physical and digital realms of art. Tom will join 61 finalists from around the globe for workshops, creative sessions and more. Their NFT doodles will be displayed in an exclusive gallery for the chance to be selected as the Red Bull Doodle Art World Champion for 2023.

Make your work count!

Across the globe support for environmentally conscious art is surging. At home in Australia, the Environmental Art & Design Prize seeks to harness this energy by opening a prize to all artists and designers across the nation who are making work with environmental themes. Northern Beaches Council presents the 2023 Environmental Art & Design Prize (EADP) as a rallying call to arms seeking work with a focus on the natural world, environmental renewal and regeneration, the climate emergency and the circular economy. Offering a prize pool of $42,000 to be distributed across 9 categories, those who enter before 14 May 2023 have the chance to be professionally exhibited from 4 – 27 August across Manly Art Gallery & Museum, Curl Curl Creative Space and Mona Vale Pop Up Gallery.
Enter via www.northernbeaches.nsw.gov.au before 14 May!

The day’s program will include:

  • A smoking ceremony
  • Bush tucker tours
  • Free walks with Eco tours
  • Tree planting
  • Quarantine Life tour
  • Quarantine to Q Station tour
