Lifeline Spring Clean: A Small Act with a Big Impact

Spring cleaning heralds’ warmer weather and new beginnings. It’s a time to refresh our homes, clear out clutter, and create space for the new. This year, as you spring clean, consider the impact of donating just one special piece of clothing to Lifeline Northern Beaches retail shops.

The benefits beyond a tidy wardrobe:
Your Environmental Impact

The fashion industry is a major polluter, with millions of tonnes of textiles ending up in landfills annually. Fast fashion encourages disposable clothing, but donating just one special piece of gently used, or new, clothing can help combat this issue. Recycling gives clothing a new life, reduces waste, and supports a circular economy. It’s a small step with a big environmental impact.

Your Social Impact

Lifeline Northern Beaches’ shops are a vital revenue source for the organization. Funds from the sale of donated items support essential services, from crisis helplines to high-quality counselling, specialist support groups, and education and training programs.

Each $39 generated means one extra call on our 13 11 14 phone line can be answered.
Your donation helps sustain these life-saving services.

Your Spring Clean Helps Our Local Community

As you spring clean, remember that even a single piece of clothing can make a significant difference. Your simple act of kindness can provide hope and support to someone in need, making your spring-cleaning efforts truly meaningful.

So, take a moment to go through your wardrobe, select one quality item, and donate it to your local Lifeline Northern Beaches shop. It’s a small act that can lead to big changes, proving that everyone can be a hero in their local community.
