The perfect stepping-stone between home and school

For parents of four-to-five-year-olds who are looking to join a vibrant community with people of shared values, Lilly Pilly – our Pre-Kindergarten, is the ideal choice.

Situated in the heart of Kamaroi, Lilly Pilly provides a beautiful, secure and homelike environment in which children can learn, play and explore before progressing to Kindergarten. With a focus on daily home rhythms and the insights of Rudolf Steiner, Lilly Pilly is the perfect stepping-stone between home and school. Parents can choose how often they’d like to send their child to Lilly Pilly, with a maximum of four and a half days a week.

Young children are deeply receptive to the world around them. Their ability to absorb and experience life through their senses forms the foundation of all learning. We understand this natural capacity as imitation. For this reason, we strive to create a nurturing, beautiful and purposeful environment that is worthy of imitation.

All children thrive when their days are held within a strong and reassuring rhythm. A sense of routine and predictability nurtures their feeling of security and wellbeing, allowing them to meet the world with confidence and joy. We carefully weave a harmonious daily and weekly rhythm through our programme, creating a balance between activity and rest, movement and quiet reflection.

Songs, verses and movement activities, along with storytelling, enrich the children’s imaginative lives and deepen their connection to language and the world around them. Meaningful practical activities such as baking, gardening, sewing and caring for the environment foster a sense of purpose, capability and belonging. Artistic experiences including painting, modelling and drawing nourish creativity and support the healthy development of the whole child.

Through imaginative play, meaningful activity, and creative exploration, children develop not only confidence and initiative but also the foundations for flexible thinking, creativity and a lifelong love of learning.

Kamaroi Steiner School is currently enrolling for their Lilly Pilly program for 2027.
