Stronger, healthier, pain free and loving it thanks to OsteoStrong

If it’s good enough for celebrity chiro Ravi Rudner (R) it’s good enough for Paige

When I took up OsteoStrong’s complimentary discovery session in March 2022 I was cynical about the health benefits. It sounded like that adage “when something sounds too good to be true it’s usually because it is”. But in OsteoStrong’s case the health benefits are true, and I have the objective evidence to prove it. Let me explain.

I have osteoporosis in my genes. In January 2020 my bone density scans revealed continued bone density decline. The only thing that changed from January 2020 to September 2023 when I had my last bone density scans is OsteoStrong.

I started my weekly visits in April 2022. I eat, drink and do the same things I have always done and take no medication. The only variable since January 2020 until now is OsteoStrong. My September 2023 DEXA scans revealed my bones had strengthened considerably. That’s a remarkable achievement.

Back in April 2020 my risk of fall was in the moderate risk category and now I’m in the low range. For someone that loves bush walking and hiking this is a real bonus. I’ve just returned from glorious Lord Howe Island and was able to zip around on the uneven and often slippery tracks, climb and descend hundreds of steps and cycle around the island with ease and confidence. Walking difficulties and falls account for more than 60% of bone fractures and osteoporosis reduces the density and quality of bone, greatly increasing the risk of fracture.

On Lord Howe Island I cycled every day for a week. I hadn’t ridden a bike for 15 years and was expecting to feel my knees twinging, they didn’t. Riding around I felt like a much younger carefree version of myself. Long may that continue and with OsteoStrong it will.

OsteoStrong safely strengthens your entire musculoskeletal system, and I am now 90% stronger than when I started. I can carry and walk with my grandchild on my hip with no trouble. Bliss.

I’d never given much thought to how OsteoStrong helps improve grip strength – so important for a raft of household chores. More importantly a decline in grip strength is linked to adverse health issues including heart disease, arthritis, osteoporosis and worse. My grip strength difference between hands was marked at the beginning and now it’s evened up with an overall strength gain of 3kgs. My husband loves that he no longer has to carry my bags!

I love that OsteoStrong in Manly is so handy to a free carpark, it makes getting to my weekly sessions so easy if the weather is stinking hot or it’s pelting with rain.

OsteoStrong’s equipment keeps track of exactly what’s happening, which is helpful, but seeing the bone density improvement in my DEXA scans at North Shore Radiography made me feel every dollar I’ve spent at OsteoStrong has been a fantastic investment in my continued strength, mobility, balance and being able to live life to the full. I’m defying my body’s natural decline in strength and balance. That’s priceless.
